Some important things that Barbara said:
Slide 5: Filtration has to have pressure. Think about a water hose. If you want it to go farther, you apply more pressure. We don’t want too much pressure though because it can damage the filter. If the filter is damaged, then Red Blood Cells and Proteins can get through and we don’t want that!
The body filters things out, pulls it back, and then picks and chooses what it needs.

Remember: afferent is going IN, and efferent is going OUT. (Think of “e” as “exit”)
